ROBOTICS and CYBERNETICS GROUP
The Robotics and Cybernetics (ROBCIB) research is focused on robots development and their applications, particularly on outdoor service robots (security, rescue, inspection, agriculture, construction, etc.). ROBCIB uses both ground and aerial robots dealing with techniques such as GNC (Guidance, Navigation and Control), artificial intelligence, remote sensing and man-machine interfaces applied to single and Multi-robot systems.
Regarding new industrial Robotics field, ROBCIB expertise is based on new man-machine interfaces that allow closer and safer collaboration between operators and robots.
ROBCIB develops projects under the Cybernetics perspective by addressing Biology, Medicine or Physiology problems, applying robotic technologies in their solutions and collaborating with experts in those areas.
ROBCIB carries out its research aimed at enhancing the technology transfer to the industry by participating in projects where research groups, national and international companies are involved.
