Este lunes 26 de octubre hemos estrenado nuestra participaci\u00f3n en la iniciativa divulgativa ‘Ciencia en el Barrio’ del CSIC. Se trata de un proyecto que consiste en acercar la labor cient\u00edfica a quienes sufren mayores barreras para acceder a este tipo de conocimiento.<\/p>\n

Un grupo de alumnos de 4\u00ba ESO del IES Ciudad de los \u00c1ngeles de Madrid se ha desplazado hasta nuestra sede de Arganda del Rey para conocer de primera mano las actividades y proyectos de todos nuestros grupos de investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Seguimos trabajando para acercar la ciencia al futuro del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

El Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica se ha presentado a la decimos\u00e9ptima edici\u00f3n de La Noche Europea de los Investigadores, celebrada en la sede del C\u00edrculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Padres y ni\u00f1os se acercaron a los puestos de nuestro centro durante toda la tarde, lo que supuso una jornada cargada de rob\u00f3tica, ciencia y divulgaci\u00f3n para mayores y para los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

El Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica formar\u00e1 parte del evento ‘La Noche Europea de los Investigadores’ en su 17\u00aa edici\u00f3n este viernes 25 de septiembre, en el C\u00edrculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid. En respuesta a nuestro compromiso de acercar la ciencia y la divulgaci\u00f3n al p\u00fablico general, participaremos con varios de nuestros grupos de investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

– Grupo BioRobotics: organizar\u00e1n dos actividades. Por un lado, un juego interactivo de un sistema de pedaleo asistido para rehabilitaci\u00f3n. Por otro, un reto basado en electromiograf\u00eda (EMG), en el que los asistentes podr\u00e1n medir su fuerza muscular y formar parte de una peque\u00f1a competici\u00f3n.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– Grupo de Percepci\u00f3n Artificial: mostrar\u00e1n c\u00f3mo la rob\u00f3tica puede tener una aplicaci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola con el desarrollo de robots que prestan asistencia en labores como la vendimia.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– Grupo de Modelado Computacional de la Inteligencia: nos ense\u00f1ar\u00e1n a trav\u00e9s de un robot social c\u00f3mo la actividad cerebral puede utilizarse para hacer posible la interacci\u00f3n entre humanos y robots.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

– Grupo de Rob\u00f3tica de Campo y de Servicio: nos pondr\u00e1n al tanto de todas las novedades relacionadas con la rob\u00f3tica agraria y los sistemas aut\u00f3nomos.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Este lunes 13 de julio una delegaci\u00f3n empresarial de la India ha venido al CAR con motivo de la visita a Espa\u00f1a del Sr. Piyush Goyal<\/span>, Ministro de Comercio e Industria del Gobierno de la India.<\/p>\n

La comitiva ha estado encabezada por Anant Goenka, Presidente de FICCI<\/span> (Federaci\u00f3n de C\u00e1maras de Comercio e Industria de la India), quien acompa\u00f1a al ministro durante su estancia en nuestro pa\u00eds. La visita ha tenido lugar por el especial inter\u00e9s de los asistentes en conocer centros espa\u00f1oles de referencia en rob\u00f3tica, innovaci\u00f3n y tecnolog\u00edas avanzadas.<\/p>\n

El grupo ha comprobado de primera mano nuestras principales l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n y ha completado un satisfactorio recorrido por las instalaciones tras una breve presentaci\u00f3n en el sal\u00f3n de actos.<\/p>\n

La nueva edici\u00f3n de la iniciativa Itinerarios Cicer\u00f3n se ha celebrado en nuestro Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica. Est\u00e1 organizada por PTIMOBILITY CSIC<\/span> y permite que administraciones p\u00fablicas, empresas y medios de comunicaci\u00f3n conecten la ciencia con la sociedad de forma conjunta.<\/p>\n

La primera parte de la ma\u00f1ana incluy\u00f3 una reuni\u00f3n en nuestro sal\u00f3n de actos. Posteriormente, los participantes visitaron las instalaciones de Programa AUTOPIA<\/span> y sus coches aut\u00f3nomos, el Grupo de Percepci\u00f3n Artificial y el Laboratorio de Energ\u00edas Renovables e Hidr\u00f3geno (LERH), dado que el evento se centra en potenciar la movilidad sostenible.<\/p>\n

A mediod\u00eda el equipo se desplaz\u00f3 hasta la sede central del CSIC<\/span> en Serrano, donde asistieron a un enriquecedor debate sobre c\u00f3mo abordar los retos cient\u00edficos del futuro.<\/p>\n

Abdelilah Slaoui, Director Adjunto de Investigaci\u00f3n encargado de Energ\u00eda en el CNRS y Coordinador del Programa Franc\u00e9s de Investigaci\u00f3n sobre Hidr\u00f3geno Bajo en Carbono y Sylvie de Maussion, Agregada de cooperaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y universitaria de la Embajada de Francia en Espa\u00f1a, se han desplazado hasta el centro para conocer de primera mano nuestras capacidades y avances en materia energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Finalizamos una nueva edici\u00f3n del programa 4\u00ba ESO + Empresa dirigido a 15 nuevos alumnos que han completado una inmersi\u00f3n en el centro durante dos d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

Esta iniciativa est\u00e1 dirigida a estudiantes de 4\u00ba ESO con el objetivo de que conozcan m\u00e1s de cerca el trabajo que se desarrolla en centros p\u00fablicos y empresas, de tal forma que les ayude a aclarar su futuro profesional.<\/p>\n

El Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica ha sido nuevamente uno de los expositores de la XV edici\u00f3n de la feria Madrid es Ciencia, celebrada del 19 al 21 de marzo en La Nave de Villaverde. Muy emocionados por todo el cari\u00f1o que nos hab\u00e9is dado estos tres d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

El grupo CVAR-UPM (Computer Vision and Aerial Robotics)<\/strong> del Centro de Automatica y Rob\u00f3tica <\/strong>de la UPM<\/strong>\u00a0ha finalizado con \u00e9xito su participaci\u00f3n en las Finales de la A2RL Autonomous Drone Race<\/strong> celebradas en Abu Dabi este mes de enero. Se trata de una de las competiciones internacionales m\u00e1s relevantes en el \u00e1mbito de los drones aut\u00f3nomos.<\/p>\n

El equipo alcanz\u00f3 la segunda posici\u00f3n en la prueba Silver Multi-Drone Race<\/strong> y registr\u00f3 el sexto mejor tiempo de vuelta global de toda la competici\u00f3n<\/strong>, un resultado especialmente significativo teniendo en cuenta el elevado nivel t\u00e9cnico de los participantes procedentes de centros de investigaci\u00f3n y universidades de referencia internacional.<\/p>\n

Estos logros son el resultado de varios meses de intenso trabajo centrado en dos v\u00edas. Por un lado, se ha mejorado la robustez del sistema durante el cruce de puertas a alta velocidad y por otro, se ha incrementado el rendimiento din\u00e1mico de la plataforma a\u00e9rea. En este periodo el equipo ha conseguido triplicar la velocidad m\u00e1xima del dron<\/strong>, alcanzando hasta 6 m\/s en el circuito de competici\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Desde el punto de vista tecnol\u00f3gico, el rendimiento alcanzado se apoya en dos desarrollos clave: un nuevo controlador de trayectoria basado en Model Predictive Contouring Control (MPCC)<\/strong> y un sistema avanzado de posicionamiento visual mediante estimaci\u00f3n multi-puerta con algoritmos PnP<\/strong>, que han permitido una navegaci\u00f3n aut\u00f3noma m\u00e1s precisa y estable en entornos altamente din\u00e1micos.<\/p>\n

Todas estas mejoras han sido integradas en Aerostack2<\/strong>, el framework open source desarrollado por el grupo CVAR-UPM y utilizado como arquitectura base en sus proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n y transferencia tecnol\u00f3gica.<\/p>\n

Durante los d\u00edas 20 y 21 de enero hemos celebrado en el CAR las reuniones del proyecto europeo ECS4DRES de la mano de nuestro investigador Ra\u00fal M. del Toro Matamoros, del grupo GAMHE. La iniciativa est\u00e1 enfocada en componentes electr\u00f3nicos para sistemas de energ\u00eda renovable buscando la flexibilidad, la coordinaci\u00f3n y la resiliencia.<\/p>\n

Los asistentes han disfrutado de dos jornadas en las que se han repasado los objetivos o las actividades de diseminaci\u00f3n informativa. Adem\u00e1s, han completado un recorrido por el centro para conocer de primera mano nuestros prototipos.<\/p>\n

Este jueves 27 de noviembre hemos acogido en el centro el Industry Day 2025, una iniciativa conjunta con el CSIC y su AIHUB, la UPM y el DIH AIR4S Digital Innovation Hub.\u00a0<\/p>\n

La jornada ha conectado a los investigadores del CAR y la UPM con la industria para seguir impulsando la colaboraci\u00f3n en I+D+i en materia de IA y rob\u00f3tica.<\/p>\n

Las empresas han visitado los diferentes puntos de demostraci\u00f3n que se han habilitado por todo nuestro centro. Esto ha facilitado a los asistentes la comprobaci\u00f3n de las aplicaciones pr\u00e1cticas que ofrecen los trabajos de los grupos de investigaci\u00f3n para seguir mejorando la calidad del tejido productivo espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n

El Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica ser\u00e1 la sede del Industry Day 2025, que se celebrar\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo jueves 27 de noviembre.<\/p>\n

Durante los d\u00edas 10 y 11 de noviembre nos hemos sumado a la celebraci\u00f3n de la XXVII Semana de la Ciencia en nuestro centro de Arganda del Rey.<\/p>\n

En ambas jornadas nos han visitado cuatro colegios, dos cada d\u00eda. El lunes vinieron alumnos del IES SATAFI de Getafe y del IES Gabriel Alonso de Herrera, de Talavera de la Reina. Ya el martes nos visitaron estudiantes del IES Palomeras y del IES San Blas, ambos de Madrid.<\/p>\n

Nuestros investigadores del Grupo de Percepci\u00f3n Artificial (GPA) han conseguido automatizar por completo un veh\u00edculo el\u00e9ctrico comercial, concretamente el Renault Twizy, para convertirlo en una plataforma aut\u00f3noma de inspecci\u00f3n de cultivos. El sistema, detallado en la revista Smart Agricultural Technology<\/em>, permite regular la direcci\u00f3n, el freno y el acelerador del veh\u00edculo sin intervenci\u00f3n humana y ha demostrado su precisi\u00f3n y seguridad en vi\u00f1edos experimentales y comerciales.<\/p>\n

Desde este viernes 7 de noviembre dar\u00e1n comienzo en nuestro centro con sede en Castellana (Madrid) las actividades pertenecientes a la XXVII edici\u00f3n de la Semana de la Ciencia y la Innovaci\u00f3n de este a\u00f1o 2025. Recibiremos a varios colegios de distintos puntos de la Comunidad de Madrid para que estudiantes de diferentes titulaciones que ya se preparan para el mundo laboral puedan conocer de primera mano nuestros trabajos.<\/p>\n

La conexi\u00f3n bidireccional cerebro-intestino no es un descubrimiento nuevo. La microbiota intestinal es el principal regulador de la relaci\u00f3n entre dos \u00f3rganos fundamentales, pero se desconoc\u00eda su influencia en la actividad cerebral.<\/p>\n

Ahora, Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Serrano, Mar\u00eda Dolores del Castillo Sobrino y Manuel Cebri\u00e1n, del Grupo de Modelado Computacional de la Inteligencia del Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica (CSIC-UPM), en colaboraci\u00f3n con el grupo IMDEA-Food, han concluido en un trabajo publicado en Scientific Reports que diferentes perfiles de microbiota en personas mayores sanas se asocian con diferente actividad espont\u00e1nea en las \u00e1reas corticales-mediales posteriores del cerebro. Ello se traduce en mayor predisposici\u00f3n a determinadas enfermedades o condiciones de salud pese a tener un microbioma sano.<\/p>\n

Varios cient\u00edficos japoneses han venido al centro dada nuestra participaci\u00f3n conjunta en el proyecto MoonShot.<\/a><\/p>\n

La visita se ha centrado en la revisi\u00f3n de los resultados del trabajo, que persigue la creaci\u00f3n de un sistema que sea capaz de diagnosticar enfermedades de forma precoz mediante el an\u00e1lisis de comportamientos cotidianos. El Grupo de Visi\u00f3n por Computador y Rob\u00f3tica A\u00e9rea (CVAR) liderado por Pascual Campoy ha finalizado con \u00e9xito una nueva serie de pruebas en el pantano de Guajaraz (Toledo), dentro del marco del proyecto INSERTION (\u00abPercepci\u00f3n, control y operaci\u00f3n de veh\u00edculos a\u00e9reos no tripulados en entornos hostiles\u00bb), financiado por el Plan Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica, T\u00e9cnica y de Innovaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

Estas pruebas, cercanas a la fase final del proyecto, se han completado conjuntamente con los otros dos socios del proyecto coordinado de I+D: Universidad Pablo de Olavide\u00a0(UPO) y la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM).<\/p>\n

INSERTION busca el desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas de percepci\u00f3n, control y cooperaci\u00f3n multi-robot para ejecutar misiones de manera aut\u00f3noma en entornos adversos, utilizando sistemas a\u00e9reos no tripulados (UAV) y mar\u00edtimos de superficie (USV). La Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid se encarga de las tareas de planificaci\u00f3n de misiones y control aut\u00f3nomo de vuelo, completadas siempre con el software propio de c\u00f3digo abierto Aerostack2 que incluye procesamiento inteligente de las im\u00e1genes adquiridas. <\/p>\n

En estas probaturas en un entorno real se obtuvieron resultados positivos en actividades de gran relevancia:<\/p>\n

1. Barrido aut\u00f3nomo de un \u00e1rea del pantano, con captura de im\u00e1genes RGB y multiespectrales para la detecci\u00f3n de cianobacterias. En puntos sospechosos, el UAV descendi\u00f3 para obtener im\u00e1genes de mayor resoluci\u00f3n antes de retomar la misi\u00f3n principal.<\/p>\n

2. Acercamiento preciso al USV mediante posicionamiento GPS, visi\u00f3n artificial y sistemas UWB, lo que permiti\u00f3 fusionar datos y analizar la viabilidad de futuras entregas de muestras o maniobras de aterrizaje.<\/p>\n

3. Coordinaci\u00f3n multi-robot entre las tres universidades, con dos UAV operando de forma simult\u00e1nea a distintas alturas y un USV, compartiendo en tiempo real la informaci\u00f3n captada por sus sensores.<\/p>\n

Los resultados han sido plenamente satisfactorios, validando la robustez de las soluciones de percepci\u00f3n, control y cooperaci\u00f3n desarrolladas en INSERTION. Esto respalda m\u00e1s pruebas durante el pr\u00f3ximo mes para ampliar el alcance de los resultados y culminar con \u00e9xito la fase final del proyecto.<\/p>\n

El Grupo de Visi\u00f3n por Computador y Rob\u00f3tica A\u00e9rea del CAR (CVAR-UPM), liderado por Pascual Campoy, ha creado con \u00e9xito en Tenerife un sistema de drones aut\u00f3nomos para la inspecci\u00f3n de aerogeneradores dentro del proyecto AEROGENIA. Est\u00e1 coordinado por el ITER, un ambicioso trabajo relativo a las energ\u00edas.<\/p>\n

Durante las pruebas, nuestros drones completaron de forma totalmente aut\u00f3noma el despegue, el seguimiento de trayectorias y la captura de im\u00e1genes multiespectrales de las turbinas, que se utilizar\u00e1n para\u00a0detectar defectos y optimizar el mantenimiento predictivo.<\/p>\n

El sistema se basa en la plataforma abierta\u00a0Aerostack2, desarrollada en la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (UPM). Representa un paso clave hacia un futuro en el que la IA y la rob\u00f3tica a\u00e9rea har\u00e1n m\u00e1s eficiente, segura y sostenible la gesti\u00f3n de los parques e\u00f3licos.<\/p>\n

El proyecto AEROGENIA est\u00e1 cofinanciado por el Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n y Universidades, la Agencia Estatal de Investigaci\u00f3n\u00a0y la Uni\u00f3n Europea \u2013 NextGenerationEU \/ PRTR. Durante los d\u00edas 16 y 17 de julio hemos albergado en nuestra sede de Arganda del Rey la primera toma de contacto entre los socios del proyecto FRUCTHOR-IA, iniciativa que lideramos en el marco del Interreg Sudoe Programme. Los miembros involucrados han discutido la forma de abordar los diferentes puntos de inter\u00e9s en unas jornadas que han incluido un recorrido por nuestras instalaciones.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 es FRUCTHOR-IA?<\/h5>\n

Encabezado por Roemi Fern\u00e1ndez del grupo de Rob\u00f3tica de Campo y de Servicio, FRUCTHOR-IA enfrenta los desaf\u00edos t\u00e9cnicos, financieros y laborales del sector hortofrut\u00edcola del sur de Europa, mediante el desarrollo de soluciones de rob\u00f3tica aut\u00f3noma para la monitorizaci\u00f3n de cultivos y la colaboraci\u00f3n humano-robot. Estas innovaciones servir\u00e1n para aumentar la competitividad, sostenibilidad y cohesi\u00f3n territorial del sector. Con una aproximaci\u00f3n colaborativa, el proyecto impulsa la digitalizaci\u00f3n y automatizaci\u00f3n y promueve un ecosistema de innovaci\u00f3n y cooperaci\u00f3n entre agentes del territorio.<\/p>\n

FRUCTHOR- IA dispone de un presupuesto global de 1.789.850 \u20ac, cofinanciado al 75% por el Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER) a trav\u00e9s del programa Interreg Sudoe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

El equipo rectoral de la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, encabezado por \u00d3scar Garc\u00eda Su\u00e1rez, ha acudido a nuestro centro para comprobar de primera mano el punto en el que se encuentra el trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n ROBOT, AI and US\u00a0<\/em>(Robot, Inteligencia Artificial y nosotros en espa\u00f1ol). Se trata del proyecto del CAR por excelencia en el que la intenci\u00f3n es simular una ciudad inteligente donde todas las partes est\u00e9n interconectadas. Junto al rector tambi\u00e9n han estado presentes Marta Olea, delegada del rector para Comunicaci\u00f3n y Relaciones Institucionales, y Luis G\u00f3mez, vicerrector de Investigaci\u00f3n y Doctorado de la UPM.<\/p>\n

La ciudad del ma\u00f1ana<\/h5>\n

El proyecto supondr\u00e1 un salto al futuro dentro del CAR para evaluar la convivencia humano-robot. Precisamente, este fue uno de los puntos m\u00e1s interesantes dentro de la visita del rector de la UPM. Las peque\u00f1as casas con las que cuenta el CAR y que servir\u00e1n como epicentro del proyecto albergaron las aportaciones de algunos de los grupos, como los que desarrollan soluciones de rob\u00f3tica asistencial para personas con diferentes problemas.\u00a0<\/p>\n

El recorrido tambi\u00e9n incluy\u00f3 una vuelta a bordo de uno de los veh\u00edculos del grupo AUTOP\u00cdA, centrado en la conducci\u00f3n aut\u00f3noma, y la demostraci\u00f3n de Robocrop en el invernadero, un robot del equipo de Rob\u00f3tica de Campo y de Servicio que es capaz de asistir en las tareas repetitivas de cosecha para seleccionar los frutos.<\/p>\n

La recopilaci\u00f3n de datos de visitantes en \u00e1reas protegidas (AP) suele ser costosa y los m\u00e9todos tradicionales basados \u200b\u200ben c\u00e1maras siguen siendo ineficientes debido al considerable esfuerzo manual requerido para el procesamiento de im\u00e1genes. Ahora, un nuevo estudio de nuestro centro liderado por Hugo Moreno, Adri\u00e0 G\u00f3mez y Dionisio And\u00fajar marca un hito en esta labor al presentar el primer algoritmo offline\/online de conteo basado en v\u00eddeo, integrando c\u00e1maras de fototrampeo (CT) con modelos de aprendizaje profundo o Deep Learning (DL) para operar sin conexi\u00f3n en entornos remotos.<\/p>\n

El estudio se ha llevado a cabo en los Parques Nacionales de Sierra de las Nieves y Sierra de Guadarrama. La integraci\u00f3n de c\u00e1maras trampa (CT) y los modelos de aprendizaje profundo (DL) emplean redes neuronales convolucionales (CNN) basadas en la detecci\u00f3n de objetos. Como resultado, se desarrolla un algoritmo de conteo de visitantes fuera de l\u00ednea, adaptado para el an\u00e1lisis de v\u00eddeo en lugar de integrarlo en im\u00e1genes est\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n

Recuento exacto ante cualquier circunstancia<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Los visitantes en posiciones escalonadas y que se ocultan entre s\u00ed representan un problema t\u00edpico en el an\u00e1lisis de v\u00eddeo. Para abordar esta limitaci\u00f3n, el algoritmo propuesto incluye m\u00faltiples l\u00edneas de conteo virtuales, es decir, l\u00edneas cruzadas e identificadores internos para visitantes individuales. Gracias a ello, logra un seguimiento preciso independientemente de la duraci\u00f3n del v\u00eddeo, solventando los desaf\u00edos asociados con las duraciones variables de grabaci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, el algoritmo pudo ejecutarse en un entorno inform\u00e1tico de calidad alta y media-baja sin dificultades.<\/p>\n

El estudio tambi\u00e9n incluy\u00f3 variaciones en la posici\u00f3n de la c\u00e1mara, la perspectiva, el clima, la hora del d\u00eda, la resoluci\u00f3n, la duraci\u00f3n y el formato del v\u00eddeo para evaluar la robustez del algoritmo en escenarios reales. Los datos muestran una precisi\u00f3n muy alta, con resultados entre el 98,48% y el 99,77%.<\/p>\n

Una soluci\u00f3n efectiva y econ\u00f3mica<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Por otro lado, se han obtenido rendimientos notables independientemente de la CNN empleada, la velocidad de fotogramas y la variabilidad del conjunto de v\u00eddeo. Por lo tanto, este estudio propone un sistema de monitoreo que proporciona un enfoque asequible, r\u00e1pido y preciso para \u00e1reas protegidas y otros paisajes recreativos, ya que rastrea de forma fiable a los visitantes en \u00e1reas remotas sin cobertura de red en tiempo real. Sin duda, un paso clave hacia una conservaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s eficaz, inteligente y automatizada.<\/p>\n

El trabajo ha sido publicado en el Journal of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism (Vol. 50, junio 2025), una revista Q1 perteneciente a la prestigiosa editorial Elsevier, especializada en investigaciones de alto impacto sobre turismo en la naturaleza y gesti\u00f3n de espacios recreativos.<\/p>\n

Esta\u00a0publicaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 encuadrada dentro del proyecto Controlerosi\u00f3n, en un trabajo financiado por el Organismo Aut\u00f3nomo Parques Nacionales (2924S\/2022).<\/p>\n

Nuestro vicedirector Eduardo Rocon ha recibido este jueves 26 de junio a Gustavo Corradini, Director de Servicios de ADIMRA (Asociaci\u00f3n de Industriales Metal\u00fargicos de la Rep\u00fablica Argentina). La reuni\u00f3n se ha mantenido en el marco de la posible firma de un convenio para vincular formalmente a ambas entidades, con el objetivo de crear un intercambio t\u00e9cnico y tecnol\u00f3gico. Posteriormente, han completado un recorrido por las instalaciones, donde Eduardo ha explicado los diferentes proyectos en los que trabajan nuestros investigadores.<\/p>\n

Este nuevo encuentro en nuestra sede de Arganda del Rey supone otro paso adelante en las relaciones entre ADIMRA y el CAR tras acoger el pasado 6 de junio la visita de Elio del Re, presidente de ADIMRA, y Juan Bautista Scartascini del R\u00edo, Consejero de la Embajada de la Rep\u00fablica Argentina en Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

Una expedici\u00f3n taiwanesa del centro NIAR-NSTC de Taip\u00e9i, la capital del pa\u00eds, se ha desplazado hasta nuestro centro para conocer nuestros proyectos actuales. Este jueves 19 de junio se han celebrado en el Sal\u00f3n de Actos tres charlas relacionadas con la igualdad, organizadas por el comit\u00e9 respectivo del CAR. Beatriz Esteban A\u00f1over, Presidenta de la Comisi\u00f3n de Igualdad del CSIC y Secretaria General Adjunta de Recursos Humanos, habl\u00f3 sobre los protocolos contra el acoso disponibles en la organizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n estuvo representado el grupo PRISMA con una ponencia sobre el colectivo LGTBI en el entorno laboral. Por \u00faltimo, tom\u00f3 la palabra Carmen Artu\u00f1edo Esteban, Directora de la Unidad del Comisionado para Promover un Entorno Laboral Sano y Seguro.<\/p>\n

Hace unos d\u00edas hemos estado en el seminario organizado por la Secretar\u00eda Conjunta del programa Interreg Sudoe Programme SUDOE en Santander. Concretamente, hemos asistido a la ceremonia de entrega del acuerdo de concesi\u00f3n de ayuda FEDER para el nuevo proyecto FRUCTHOR-IA, del cual es IP nuestra investigadora Roemi Fern\u00e1ndez Saavedra y es beneficiario el ITCL Centro Tecnol\u00f3gico.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Este ambicioso proyecto que lideramos re\u00fane a entidades clave como el Centro Avanzado de Tecnolog\u00edas Aeroespaciales (CATEC), Chambre d’agriculture de la Dordogne, Conseil d\u00e9partemental de la Dordogne, Agerpix Technologies, ESTIA, Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Munic\u00edpios da Cova, Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico de Bragan\u00e7a<\/span><\/span><\/span> (CeDRI) e Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico de Viseu<\/span><\/span><\/span>. Su misi\u00f3n es transformar el sector hortofrut\u00edcola del espacio SUDOE.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

FRUCTHOR-IA aborda los desaf\u00edos t\u00e9cnicos, financieros y laborales del sector mediante el desarrollo de soluciones de robo\u0301tica<\/span> aut\u00f3noma para la monitorizaci\u00f3n<\/span> de cultivos<\/span> y la colaboraci\u00f3n humano-robot. Estas innovaciones contribuir\u00e1n a aumentar la competitividad, sostenibilidad y cohesi\u00f3n territorial del sector.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

La revista WIRED ha publicado un art\u00edculo en el que muestra el excelente trabajo de nuestro investigador Leonardo Colombo en la conservaci\u00f3n de ciervos en peligro de extinci\u00f3n en Argentina.<\/p>\n

Concretamente, se centran en dos especies muy castigadas: el venado de las pampas y el ciervo de los pantanos. Las m\u00faltiples amenazas han reducido dr\u00e1sticamente su n\u00famero en todo el continente, entre las que destacan el ataque de perros asilvestrados, la fragmentaci\u00f3n de su h\u00e1bitat, la caza o la introducci\u00f3n de otras especies, como el ciervo axis.<\/p>\n

Gracias al proyecto WiMoBo (Wildlife Monitoring Bots) financiado por el CSIC, Leonardo y otros investigadores hacen uso de la inteligencia artificial para llevar a cabo un trabajo que parec\u00eda imposible: contabilizar con drones la poblaci\u00f3n de venados y ciervos que hay en la actualidad.<\/p>\n

Este jueves 5 de junio hemos tenido en el centro a D. Elio del Re, presidente de ADIMRA (Asociaci\u00f3n de Industriales Metal\u00fargicos de la Rep\u00fablica Argentina) y a D. Juan Bautista Scartascini del R\u00edo, Consejero de la Embajada de la Rep\u00fablica Argentina en Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s del proyecto del CAR, liderado por los investigadores\u00a0Eduardo Rocon y Manuel Cebri\u00e1n<\/strong>, se contribuir\u00e1 al desarrollo de sistemas rob\u00f3ticos y de realidad virtual potenciados por IA generativa para mejorar la movilidad de ni\u00f1os con par\u00e1lisis cerebral.<\/p>\n

En paralelo, en el \u00e1mbito de la rehabilitaci\u00f3n motora, el equipo del CAR implementar\u00e1 un innovador sistema que combina rob\u00f3tica terap\u00e9utica con entornos de realidad virtual potenciados por IA generativa. \u00abA diferencia de los enfoques tradicionales centrados en ni\u00f1os mayores o adultos, nuestra investigaci\u00f3n se dirige espec\u00edficamente a ni\u00f1os peque\u00f1os durante la etapa cr\u00edtica de aprendizaje de la marcha\u00bb, ha destacado Rocon. \u00abUtilizaremos IA generativa para crear avatares virtuales altamente adaptativos que responden en tiempo real a los datos de funci\u00f3n motora del ni\u00f1o, ofreciendo una terapia personalizada que evoluciona con su progreso\u00bb, ha a\u00f1adido.<\/p>\n

El proyecto, de dos a\u00f1os de duraci\u00f3n, culminar\u00e1 con la entrega a la comunidad cient\u00edfica y m\u00e9dica de herramientas de software de c\u00f3digo abierto, dispositivos rob\u00f3ticos y protocolos unificados de formaci\u00f3n, con el objetivo de expandir su aplicabilidad a otras enfermedades.<\/p>\n

\u00abEl \u00e9xito de la IA generativa, y que evitemos un posible ‘invierno de la IA’, depende en gran medida de que estos modelos consigan hacer avances significativos en salud\u00bb, ha expuesto Cebri\u00e1n. \u00abEste proyecto representa una oportunidad \u00fanica para demostrar el impacto positivo que estas tecnolog\u00edas pueden tener en el bienestar de las personas m\u00e1s vulnerables\u00bb, ha detallado.<\/p>\n

En conjunto, este proyecto contribuir\u00e1 a poner de manifiesto el potencial de la IA en la mejora de la calidad de vida de las personas, sirviendo de puente entre los avances te\u00f3ricos y su aplicaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica para resolver problemas reales de salud global.<\/p>\n
