El grupo est\u00e1 enmarcado en la unidad de Rob\u00f3tica Aplicada del Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica (CAR), uno de los institutos del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cient\u00edficas (CSIC).<\/p>\n<p>Nuestro principal objetivo es realizar actividades de investigaci\u00f3n que persigan generar nuevos conocimientos y soluciones tecnol\u00f3gicas orientadas a comprender y controlar los sistemas biol\u00f3gicos humanos y sus interacciones con el entorno. Para ello, se eval\u00faan las estructuras corporales y las funciones de los sistemas nerviosos central y perif\u00e9rico buscando caracterizar, diagnosticar y predecir afecciones neurol\u00f3gicas que afecten al sistema motor y\/o a las capacidades cognitivas y desarrollar dispositivos o sistemas adecuados que ayuden a superar o mejorar la condici\u00f3n de destino.<\/p>\n<p>Las principales l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n de este grupo son las siguientes: Rehabilitaci\u00f3n y Rob\u00f3tica Asistencial, Interfaces Sensoriomorfas, Evaluaci\u00f3n y Benchmarking y Modelos Digitales y F\u00edsicos. Somos un grupo multidisciplinar que combina conocimientos de las \u00e1reas de Rob\u00f3tica y Computaci\u00f3n, adquisici\u00f3n y procesamiento de se\u00f1ales biol\u00f3gicas, Biomec\u00e1nica, Machine Learning, Inteligencia Artificial, Neurociencias y otras. The group is enclosed under the Applied Robotics unit of Centro de Autom\u00e1tica y Rob\u00f3tica (CAR), one of the institutes of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).\r\n\r\nOur main goal is to perform research activities that pursue to generate new knowledge and technological solutions oriented to understand and control human biological systems and their environmental interactions. For this purpose, body structures and nervous central and peripheral systems\u2019 functions are evaluated looking for characterizing, diagnosing and predicting neurological conditions that affect motor system and\/or cognitive abilities and developing suitable devices or systems that aid to overcome or improve the target condition.\r\n\r\nThe main research lines of this group are the following: Rehabilitation &amp; Assistive Robotics, Sensorimor interfaces, Assessment &amp; Benchmarking and Digital &amp; Physical models. We are a multidisciplinary group combining knowledge from the areas of Robotics and Computer Science, biological signal acquisition and processing, Biomechanics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Neuroscience and others.
