Equality Committee: Working for an Inclusive Center
At the Center for Automation and Robotics (CAR UPM-CSIC), we are committed to creating a research environment where diversity and equality are fundamental pillars. Therefore, in November 2021, we established our Equality Committee, a participatory space that actively works to promote an inclusive and respectful culture in all areas of our scientific and professional activity.
Who are we?
We are a diverse team made up of people committed to equality, representing all levels of the Center: scientific, technical, and management staff. The Committee is open to participation by anyone from the CAR who wishes to contribute to building a more equitable center.

What do we do?
- We raise awareness about the importance of equality through information and training campaigns.
- We monitor the equality situation at the Center and propose improvement measures.
- We serve as a communication channel for questions or situations related to equality.
- We promote balanced participation in scientific and outreach activities.
- We work to eliminate biases and stereotypes in our institutional practices.
- We collaborate closely with the equality committees of the CSIC and UPM.
